Government Agreed to Release Marwan Barghouti

What does this say about Israel?  Does it suggest that they are so dedicated to their people, their soldiers, that they would risk releasing a brutal child murdering terrorist to set IDF solider Gilad Shalit free?  Or does it suggest foolishness?  I can't answer this question, but I do know this... there is no other country in the world that I know of that would even consider this.  Let alone have to consider this.

Good luck, Gilad Shalit.  Good luck.
The Arab newspaper al-Hayat has reported that the government of Israel had agreed to discuss the release of Fatah terrorist Marwan Barghouti as part of a deal with Hamas to free captured IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. Israel’s willingness to release Barghouti was on condition he be deported from the Land of Israel.
